Dr. Durrani received his degree in medicine from University of Kashmir, India in 1988. He moved to the United States of America where he did his Internship in Internal Medicine at Nassau County Medical Center in New York, an affiliate of State University of New York at Stony Brook. He went on to complete his training in Anesthesia at the Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee . After this Dr. Durrani furthered his career and completed a fellowship in Critical Care at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston. Later he moved back to Vanderbilt University to complete a second fellowship in Cardiothoracic Anesthesia. Dr. Durrani then joined the West Virginia University Hospital where he was the Director of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia. At present he is the Vice Chairman of Anesthesia and the Director of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia at the Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, Pennsylvania.
